Some things that could change in my career

Hi classmates! Today I will tell you about some things that could change in my career. 

In first place, I would like to clarify that I really like the career. But, if I had the possibility to make any change at it, I might choose some things of the curriculum, the workload of studies, the infrastructure of FACSO, the teaching methods and the increase in the use of technology.

Talking about the changes in the curriculum, I would like to transform into elective some subjects that are currently obligatory. In particular, I think that the specialization subjects, as: “political sociology”, “sociology of culture”, “economic sociology” and “sociology of organizations”, could be transformed into elective subjects, for the years of the career and the workload of studies decrease.

Also, I think that the infrastructure is very important in the learning process. In this sense, I believe that the study rooms and the classrooms have some problems at it. Above all, I think that is very important to get better ventilation and air conditioning for these rooms.

In addition, I think that the implementation of new teaching methods could allow teachers to make the learning process more dynamic, through more participatory methodologies, in which the student is encouraged to reflect on the contents that are being addressed. Also, I believe that the increase of the use of technology would allow to improve substantively the development of the classes, increase students attention in the classes and learning better contents.

With regard to technology, my favorite piece of technology is my notebook.  When I was a child, I had access to a computer that belonged to my family, as there was only one, so I had to take turns to used it. Who am I?

I am Anais Herrera. I was born on december 20, 1998, in Santiago, Chile. I grew up in Santiago, in "La Florida", with my mom and my eldest sister. I went to "Raimapu" school during every my elementary school and two years of the highschool, where I made very good friends, I meet my boyfriend and I acquired much of the values that defined who I am. Despite this, I borred of the scholar system and I finished my highschool in the "Colegio para adultos instituto miraflores". As a result of that, I go in to the university last year, for to form me as sociology.  I'm the little sister of three sister and my parents decided broke his relationship when I are a little baby.  In my free time, I like be with my family or boyfriend, reading, walking and go to parks. My academic dreams

When I was a child I dreamed of being a teacher, of language or dance, but teacher. I loved to teach, the children and the school, so that any job that will involve this, it was a good idea. Years later, when I was in the last year of the high school, I had different career options in mind. Be a teacher was no longer an option, because with the controversy about the “carrera docente” to know that the working conditions of the teacher are very bad. In this moment, my top career options were psychology, law, or sociology. For decided what career studying, I asked my dad that to made a talk about these career, whit which I decided to study sociology because was that it complied with my projects.
